Introduction to writing assignment 7
THE FUTURE OF TRAVEL AND TOURISM | TRAVEL TRENDS AND PREDICTIONS
At Responsible Travel we speak with hundreds of customers every day about their holiday plans. We reviewed and judged more than 5000 of the best examples of Responsible Tourism globally through our World Responsible Tourism Awards. We have relationships with over 400 tour operators and
many activist NGO’s who bring us the latest ethical and cause related issues, from which we form our campaigning strategies. We have put all this experience together into five big ideas and trends that we think will shape the future of tourism.

Summary reviews
Let's have a look at the group summaries in the Team notes!

Slide 20 - Slide

Go through the summaries with the group as a whole while sharing your screen. Ask students from other groups if they understand what that section was about based on their classmates' summary. How can it be improved? What was unclear? Are there any grammar or style errors?
What could be a possible thesis statement for a summary of this article?

Homework/writing assignment 7
Read the full article in the syllabus/submit your 500 word summary on Teams before the next lesson

The article from Responsible Travel is quite long, just over 1200 words. Write a shorter article to represent the content. You use a more neutral tone of voice (third person/summarizing someone else's work rather than your own), since you are not part of Responsible Travel, like the author is. You are NOT allowed to copy entire sentences from the text or to use the group work written in the lesson. Use 500 words, +/- 10%.
