Experiment touch receptors (15 min)
  • Work in groups of 3
  • Blindfold one person. Bend the tweezers in such a way that the two tips are 10 mm apart.
  • Touch the skin of the test person with the two tips at the same time. 
  • Do this at three places: tip of the index finger (wijsvinger), lower arm and the tip of the nose. 
  • The test person tells if he/she feels one or two tips of the tweezers. Put this in the table. 
  • Repeat this with the tweezer tips at 8, 6, 4 en 2 mm apart, and with only one tweezer tip.
