QUERER is a stem-changing verb. The letter e in the stem changes to ie in all but the nosotros and vosotros forms.

- ¿Quieres ir a la piscina?

- Sí quiero ir. 

QUERER + infinitive 

QUERER is a handy verb because you can use it together with another verb in the infinitive form to express an intention.

Ejemplo:

• ¿Quieres ir al cine esta tarde?
• Sí, quiero ir al cine

e - ie (querer --> yo quiero)

u - ue (jugar --> yo juego)

o - ue (mover --> yo muevo)
