Expectations- Salon Rules
  • No entering the classroom without a tutor 
  • Arrive in salon uniform - Tunic, trousers, black shoes
  • Remove all outdoor clothing before entering the salon. 
  • Remove jewellery - no rings, hoop earrings, facial piercings, bracelets.   
  • No food/ chewing gum or drinks  when entering the classroom- Only water in a clear bottle
  •  Participate fully in your session
  • No Hands up- Questions- No opt out 
  • Bring pens & note pad 
  • No use of mobile phones- unless instructed to by tutor
  • Set up work area within allocated timeframe to be ready to meet and greet your client 
  • Toilet breaks not permitted in the first 30 minutes or the last 15 minutes of your session 
  • Learning Review booklets/ Knowledge organisers

  • Complete 'Do Now Task'- Write a short paragraph describing the benefits styling products have on the hair. (Remember you can use AI, i.e. CHATGPT to support you in completing this task). 
  • Complete learning review booklet-  Revisit previous written feedback from tutors to Identify target/ Focus for today’s session 
  • Undertake relevant service allocated, Remember to complete your consultation sheet fully and discuss with tutor prior to starting your service.
  • Confirm with tutor formative or summative assessment and reflect back on previous tutor feedback to support your assessment 
  • Extension task- Research the Wella product range to identify features and benefits and write a short summary for each product range- Scan the QR codes to explore the different product ranges available. 
  • To support you improving your product knowledge when giving aftercare, for ALL chosen products today -  you need to relate your aftercare advice to your client or peer to the command verb allocated to you to. 
  • Reflection/ Evaluation- What Did You Achieve Today?-  List 2–3 key aspects that you have improved on from today's session.

By choosing the right products, you can enhance your hair's look and feel while maintaining its health.
