What is a Food Chain?
A food chain is the sequence in which living organisms feed on the one below it.
All living things rely on the food chain one way or another to live.

How are Plants Apart of the Food Chain?
Most foods energy comes from the sun. Plants actually use light to produce energy. This is called photosynthesis.
When an animal eats the plant they get their energy from the nutrients the plant has created through this process.
