Present simple vs. continuous
De present simple en present continuous zijn allebei tegenwoordige tijden.
Er zit verschil in wanneer je welke moet gebruiken.

We gaan beginnen met de present simple.

De present simple is beter bekent als de SHIT-regel.
Je gebruikt de present simple bij feiten, gewoontes en dingen die regelmatig voorkomen.


SHE, HE & IT krijgen een S na het werkwoord.
I work in the garden every Saturday.                        Water boils at 100 degrees.
He works in the garden every Saturday.                 She runs faster.

We gaan nu door met de present continuous.

De present continuous gebruik je voor dingen die NU bezig zijn.
Ook gebruik je de continuous bij irritatie. ( She is ALWAYS complaining about homework) 

Je maakt de continuous met:
am, is, are - werkwoord - ing
v.b. She is working in the garden right now.

Hoe weet je wanneer je de continuous moet gebruiken?
Let op signaalwoorden in de zin:
- right now
- at the moment
- Look! , Listen!
- today

LET OP 1:

soms veranderd de spelling van een woord.
 als een woord eindigt op:
 - e --> dan gaat de e eraf (love --> loving)
      (!! see --> seeing & be --> being)

Bij werkwoorden van 1 lettergreep met een korte klinker (a,e,o,u,i) verdubbeld de laatste medeklinker.
chat --> chatting. put --> putting.
