Wanneer gebruik je de Passive Voice (= lijdende vorm)?

1. Als je wilt zeggen WIE iets doet en niet belangrijk is wat er gebeurt.
2. Als je wilt zeggen wat er gebeurt en niet belangrijk is wie dat doet.
3. Als je wilt aangeven waarom iets gebeurt.
4. Als je niet weet hoe je het anders moet zeggen.

Which sentence is in the passive voice?

1. The farmer is harvesting the corn.
2. The farmer has harvested the corn.
3. The corn is harvested by the farmer.
4. Harvesting corn is a heavy job.

Change the active voice to passive.

They were helping you.

1. You were being helped by them.
2. You are helping by them.
3. They were helped by them.
4. You are being helped by them.

Zet in de passive voice:
I see the product

1. The product is seen
2. the product are seen

Rephrase using the Passive Voice:
The police have caught the culprit.

1. The culprit is caught.
2. The culprit has been caught.
3. The culprit was caught.
4. The police will catch the culprit.

Rephrase using the Passive Voice:
'Joe has washed his car.'

1. His car has been washed.
2. His car was washed.
3. His car is washed.
4. His car is being washed

Jack builds a house. (Put in passive voice)

1. A house is being built (by Jack).
2. A house was built (by Jack).
3. A house is built (by Jack).
4. A house will be built (by Jack).

Turn into passive voice:
Someone is drinking juice

1. Juice is being drunk
2. Juice has been drunk
3. Juice was drunk
4. Juice is drunk

Passive Voice: rephrase
They request you to leave immediately

1. You were requested to leave immediately
2. You are being requested to leave immediately
3. You are requested to leave immediately
4. You have been requested to leave immediately

Most people love chickens. (Put in passive voice)

1. Chickens were loved (by most people).
2. Chickens are loved (by most people).
3. Chickens are eaten (by most people).
4. Chickens are being loved (by most people).
