Adjectives (bijvoeglijke naamwoorden)

Je gebruikt bijvoeglijke naamwoorden om mensen of dingen te beschrijven. Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord geeft meer informatie over het zelfstandige naamwoord. 

Het staat meestal direct voor het zelfstandig naamwoord.

My parents have a blue car.

He is going to a big party.

She was a famous tennis player.

Adjectives (bijvoeglijke naamwoorden)

Soms staat het bijvoeglijke naamwoord achter het werkwoord. Dit is zo bij werkwoorden als: to be, become, appear, feel, look, seem, taste.

Their garden is beautiful.

The weather was terrible.

The shoes became too small.
