Wanneer gebruik je de present perfect?

• 1. Om te praten over iets wat in het verleden is begonnen, en nu nog aan de gang is (nog niet afgelopen)

Bob has known John since they were 10.

Mary has worked at the market for 5 years now.

Bill and Kate have been friends since 2011.

• 2. Om te praten over iets wat in het verleden gebeurd en waar je nu het resultaat van merkt:

Sharon has broken her leg (now she can't walk)

Jim has lost his keys ( now he can't open the door)

Gwen has eaten too much (now she feels sick)

• 3. Om te praten over ervaringen to  nu toe:

I have never been too America.
