We add the word ‘than’ to show it is a comparison:

Superlative Adjectives
We use superlative adjectives to say that something is at the minimum or maximum of an adjective.
We add the word 'the' before a superlative:

Short adjectives:
Adjective + -est
strong -> strongest

Double final consonant + -est
big -> biggest
