Past perfect
Past Perfect: had + voltooid deelwoord.
The Past Perfect gebeurt vóór een andere gebeurtenis in de verleden tijd.
Wanneer er 2 gebeurtenissen in een zin staan, krijgt de gebeurtenis die als 1ste plaatsvond de Past Perfect.

Past simple
Je gebruikt de Past Simple als je zeker weet dat iets in het verleden gebeurd is en nu afgelopen is.
Je gebruikt deze vorm als je het hebt over feiten, gewoonten etc. die in het verleden gebeurd zijn en nu helemaal klaar zijn.
Past Simple: regelmatigww + –ed. ‘to work’ worked.
