Summary
Full stop / period = punt
Use:- to show us when a sentence is finished.
- at the end of a complete sentence that is a statement.
Comma = komma
Use:- between the day of the week and the month-date.
- to separate two or more items in a sentence.
- between the name of a city and the state.
- after introductory words like yes / no / wow / hey.
- to separate the name of a person in a direct address.

Use: to show that someone is asking a question.



Exclamation mark = uitroepteken
Use: - to give a sudden order
- to express  intensity of emotion
- when using / showing volume

The Present Simple
Hoe kun je de "present simple" herkennen?

In een zin weet je of het een feit of routine is door naar signaalwoorden te kijken.
Woorden als every day (alledaags), never (nooit), always (altijd), every Wednesday (elke woensdag) vertellen je dat het over een routine gaat. Het komt vaak voor.

Als er geen signaalwoorden zijn, vertelt de zin u een feit.
