You can explain how a glacier is formed, using the following terms: precipitation, firn , basin, glacier (G87).

Precipitation - Water (rain, snow or hail) from the athmosphere that falls on the Earth.
Firn - Crystalline, ice snow left over from previous seasons. (old snow)
Firn basin - A place high in the mountains where firn accumulates.
