Quantifiers give information on the amount (hoeveelheid) of something. (woorden die hoeveelheden aangeven)

Other quantifiers? much/ many/ some/ any

What are nouns (zelfstandige naamwoord)?

1. uncountable noun (niet telbaar)             2. countable noun (telbaar)

What are quantifiers?

Quantifiers give information on the amount (hoeveelheid) of something.

What are nouns? 

- countable nouns

- uncountable nouns

Examples 

A lot: I have a lot of luggage to carry. 

Many (telbaar): How many bananas can you eat? (Bananas kan je tellen) (vragende zin)

She doesn't have many things to do. (Ontkennende zin)

Much (niet telbaar): how much water did he drink? (Water kan je niet tellen) (vragende zin)

Examples 

Few (telbaar): There are very few cupcakes left. (bijna geen)

A few (telbaar): I bought a few dresses today. (een paar jurken) 

Little (niet telbaar): She has little sugar at home. (bijna geen)

A little (niet telbaar): she takes a little bit of milk in her tea. (een beetje)
