Woordvolgorde is de manier waarop een Engelse zin opgebouwd is uit woorden.

Je houd een bepaalde volgorde aan van verschillende woorden en daar vorm je een correcte Engelse zin mee.

I - we = persoonlijke voornaamwoord
go = werkwoord

Bijwoorden van frequentie geven aan hoe vaak iets gebeurt in een zin. Bijvoorbeeld: always, never, sometimes, usually.

1. Maar na een vorm van to be (am/are/is/was/were)
2. bij twee of meer werkwoorden altijd achter het 1e werkwoord.

De tijdsbepaling (wanneer iets gebeurt) mag vooraan of achteraan in de zin.
Je mag de tijd alleen vooraan zetten als dat het belangrijkste in de zin is.
When did you see him? > Yesterday I saw him.
