Used for talking about things that happened in the past (verleden)
Here's how you create a sentence in the past simple:
'verb + ed'
Ex: I walk to school every morning. -> I walked to school every morning.
Ex: She talks to her parents every week -> She talked to her parents every week.

Not every verb gets an -ed at the end

dance -> danced
study - > studied
