Research shows that people who takes
notes on paper remember the material better than people who take notes on a laptop (Mueller & Oppenheimer, 2014).
This is likely due to
laptop users copying everything they hear word for word, without fully taking in the information.
Writing by hand generally isn't fast enough to do so, which forces these note-takers to interact more with the material, and sift through it as they go along.
Consequently, we advise you to take notes by hand as much as possible.
