Asteroid Itokawa is about 530 mlongand about 250 m wide. In the year 2005, a spacecraft collected samples from the surface of Itokawa. It was the smallest asteroid to be visited at that time.
Study of the samples has given scientists more evidence about how the Solar System formed.
