Present simple
Deze vorm gebruik je om aan te geven dat iets een feit of een gewoonte is of een vaststaand rooster
Je gebruikt hier het hele ww. Bij he/she/it + -s.
On Mondays we do not have English.           --> vaststaand rooster
My friend visits his grandmother once a week.   --> gewoonte
The sun always rises in the East.                               --> feit

Slide 7 - Slide

Let op bij ontkenningen en vragen. Daar heb je een hulpwerkwoord nodig.

Het hoofdwerkwoord wordt dan niet meer vervoegd.

My little sister doesn't like school.                            --> feit
Does Gemma always go to work by bus?       --> vraag naar
                                                                                gewoonte
Can he sing well?                                  --> vraag naar feit

Slide 8 - Slide

Present Continuous
Deze vorm gebruik je om aan te geven dat iets nu aan de gang is of dat iets je irriteert.
Je maakt hem met am/is/are + hele ww+ -ing.

Stop fidgeting! It is making me nervous.           --> irritatie
She is sleeping. Don't disturb her.                    --> nu aan de gang
