WHEN: 
  • Describe an action that has been completed.
  • Describe things that happened in the past.

HOW: add -ed to the base verb

Exceptions
Words that end in -y and the letter before the -y is a consonant (medeklinker) (not a vowel), the -y changes to -i before adding the -ed:
