Extension activity on taking notes
1. Pair up with a friend and take turns telling a personal story: the time you overcame a fear; the funniest thing you ever saw;whatever subject interests you!
Provide as much detail as you can remember.
2. As your friend speaks, take notes on his or her story.
3. Put your notes away for a day or two.
4. Then pair up with the same friend and retell his or her story, using your notes as reference.
5. Ask your partner if your retelling was correct. Were any important details missing or incorrect?
