Wat valt je op aan de "passive"? Waaruit bestaat het?

Passive

Een passive bestaat uit: 

• vorm van 'to be' >>  am / is / are (t.t.) / was / were (v.t.) 
• voltooid deelwoord >>  ww + -ed  / eigen vorm (3e vorm) 

Nadruk op wat er gebeurt, het is niet belangrijk / bekend wie het doet. 

Active > passive

My mother sends a letter to my grandmother every year. 

> A letter is sent to my grandmother every year (by my mother). 

Roald Dahl wrote Revolting Rhymes. 

> Revolting Rhymes was written (by Roald Dahl).
