Anything created or invented by people. Including customs and traditions.

Custom: the way you usually do something (3 kisses)

Tradition: historic customs

Greek culture

Greek culture was very similar in all the poleis 

Poetry. Poetry was a way to tell stories. This was entertainment.

Theatre. Poetic stories could be turned into a play. Actors would perform them.

Tragedy: a story that shows the flaws in humans

Comedy: a story that makes fun of society

Greek science 

Mythos: trying to explain everything through the gods

Logos: trying to use your reason (brain) to explain everything 

How does science work?

1. You think of an explanation (theory) 

2. You experiment to test your theory 

3. If it doesn't work, change your theory

Nowadays people don't always believe science. Have you heard of a conspiracy theory?
