Er komt een extra werkwoord (verb) bij, namelijk: Do / Does

Het hoofdwerkwoord (the main verb) veranderd naar het hele werkwoord (infinitive)

Have => gaat naar het begin van de zin.
Got => blijft op dezelfde plek.

Slide 14 - Slide

Negations
Negations = ontkenningen.

There are 2 ways to make a sentence: negative.
(in the present simple)

Slide 15 - Slide

1
Wanneer er in een zin werkwoorden zoals: "to be", "can", "may" & "will" staan, voeg je "Not" of de afkorting (contraction) "n't" toe.

She is sick today. --> She is not sick today / She isn't sick today.
I can play football. --> I can not play football / I can't play football.
He will sleep soon. --> He will not sleep soon / He won't sleep soon.

Slide 16 - Slide

2
Wanneer er in zin geen werkwoorden zoals: "to be" of auxiliary verbs staan => voeg je do not / does not toe. Of de contractions (afkortingen): don't / doesn't. Dit plaatsen we na the subject (het onderwerp).

"I like English." --> I do not like English / I don't like English.
"We know each other." --> We do not know each other / We don't know each other.
