prepositions of place!

On: gebruik je voor oppervlaktes en openbaar vervoer (on the table, on the bus)

In: Gebruik je voor wegen, steden, landen en andere grote gebieden. Je gebruikt dit voor afgesloten gebieden.

Prepositions of time

At = used for very specific time frames. Like: to discuss clock times, holidays and festivals, and other including exceptions, such as “at night.”

In – This preposition of time is used to discuss months, seasons, years, centuries, general times of day, and longer periods of time such as “in the past.”

On – This preposition of time is used to discuss certain days of the week or portions of days of the week, specific dates, and special days such as “on New Year’s Day.”

At

clock times: at 10 o'clock, at five past nine

holidays and festivals: at Christmas, at Easter

exceptions:at night, at the weekend

Days of the week: on Monday, on Thursday

Portions of days of the week: on Thursday afternoon, on Sunday mornings
