What is the past simple?

- It is used to describe things that happened in the past.
Note: WHEN did it happen?

How

Full verb + ed (or -d if the verb ends in -e):

We viewed the house last week.

or past simple of an irregular verb:

We had three viewings yesterday

Past simple: simpele feitjes > je hebt toen iets gedaan

Present simple: feiten, gewoonten en dingen die we met regelmaat doen.

Past continuous > benadrukt een actie die een tijdje duurde, je was iets aan het doen. I was watching TV when you called.
