Wanneer gebruik je de present simple 

• Als je praat over iets dat regelmatig gebeurt, gewoontes en dingen die altijd of in het algemeen waar zijn
• Bijv:  I always eat fish on Friday.
• Bijv:  We never go to school in the weekend
  
• always, often, regularly, every week, usually en never zijn signaalwoorden

• Als iets nu aan de gang is
  
• Bijv: He is talking right now
