The tall building.
Tells us something about a person or thing (noun/zelfstandig naamw).
Position in sentence: Before a noun > tall building
big car, blue car, fast car, modern car, dangerous car, etc.

I rarely eat breakfast. He walked carefully.
Use:
Tells us something about a verb or an adjective.
Position in sentence:
The adverb must be placed either before the verb or at the end of the clause.
An adverb of manner cannot be put between a verb and its direct object.

good vs well: Barcelona is a good team and they play well.
daily, early, strange and more don't change
watch out for: hard vs hardly --> different meanings
bij zintuigen: taste, look, feel, smell, sound --> adjective in stead of adverb. (so not it sounds, looks, tastes nicely, greatly, well, etc. but: it looks nice, tastes good, smells great, sounds perfect.)
