The Present Simple

• Used for facts, habits, and regular actions
• Created using the infinitive 
• Third person -> +s after the infinitive 
• "He works during the day."

• Something that is happening now 
• Be + verb + ing

• "We are screaming right now."

• Something that has happened in the past
• Be + ing + ed

• "You worked three days ago."

• An action that was happening in the past 
• was/were + verb + ing

• "I was singing my favorite song."
