Dear Students
Unfortunately, I won't be able to teach you today.
I have lots of material ready for you to work on . We will be looking some more at humour outside of 'Twelfth Night'
I DON'T expect all activities to be finished though, there is simply too much. However, I would like you to try and get as much done as possible. Create a document for your work.

- Explanation of the video and why this is funny to you.
- Are there elements that might be offensive to others? If so, who and why.

How can we use comedy to Critique society?
When watching the following clip, bear in mind that the US was not at war with Germany yet. Charlie Chaplin is clearly mocking Adolf Hitler in this scene. However, he is also expressing a lot of the similar fears we came across last year when we read
"Address Unknown - Kathrine Kressmann Taylor "
Watch this clip from 'the Great Dictator' .
What do you make of this speech? How effective is it?
