Tops
Positive class!: You said hi when you came in, you shared some personal stories! I truly appreciate that.
You're willing to share your books with one another and you're willing to work together! (Not every group can do this, so you should not underestimate how rare this can be)
If you don't understand a task or explanation you're not afraid to say you haven't understood something! This means that I can be helpful and useful to you. Keep doing this! Tell me what you're struggling with and I will always help you!

Tips
Almost all of my rules were broken in the first two lessons already: some forgot their books, a fair amount of you spoke while I was talking; it took too long for everyone to be quiet whenever I asked for your attention. I heard some of you cussing, and only a couple of you raised your hand when you had a question or wanted to say something, most of you just spoke your mind.
You spoke and were discussing answers during a practice exam: Never ever do that again! You won't be allowed to speak at a practice exam in real time either. Get used to doing this on your own.
Overall, you were simply too loud.

What do you need to know?
Pre-listening:
What is the topic of the audio recording you're listening to? How do you know this?
Read the first question before listening to the recording. What is the title of the recording? What does this tell you about the topic?
What are your expectations?

What do you need to know?
During Listening
ALWAYS read the question before the next part of the audio-recording. This way you'll be prepared and you'll know what to listen out for.
Write down keywords from the question that you have to listen out for.
For example, here's a question about an audio-recording that discusses climate change:
1. Wat is een van grootste oorzaken van klimaatverandering?
What will you be focussing on? What do you expect to hear?
Focus on those words in the audio-recording that match words that appear in the question. In other words, focus on KEYWORDS

What do you need to know?
Post-listening
After a practice exam you're allowed to ask the teacher questions.
Were there things you didn't understand.
Why was your answer incorrect?
What types of problems did you run into while we were listening to the recording?
