Werkwoord eindigt in klinker + y
(play, stay, enjoy)
Voeg -ed toe:
played, stayed, enjoyed
Werkwoord eindigt in medeklinker + y (try, cry, marry)
Verander de 'y' in 'ie' en voeg -d toe: tried, cried, married
