Past simple vs past continuous
Read GRAMMAR 2B Past continuous vs. past simple
Past simple = korte gebeurtenissen in het verleden
Past continuous= 'langere' gebeurtenissen in het verleden

Slide 14 - Slide

Past simple vs past continuous
I was walking home, when I heard someone scream).

Slide 15 - Slide

Past continuous vs past simple

Signaalwoorden voor de past simple zijn bijvoorbeeld: when, yesterday, last week, last year, three days ago, a long time ago, in 1989, etc.

Signaalwoorden voor de past continuous zijn: while, at the same time.
