Past Perfect

Form: Had + voltooid deelwoord (ww+ed/3e rij oww's)

I had slept.

She had worked.

Past Perfect

Use: something happened before something else in the past.

• I apologised because I had left my money at home.
• I watched TV after I had done my homework
• When I started working at that supermarket, I had worked in a restaurant for two years.
