Passive I
WAT is belangrijker dan WIE
Tijden waarin de passive plaats kan vinden: present simple, past simple, present continuous, past continuous, present perfect + past perfect.

Hoe maak je de passive:
Werkwoord to be + voltooid deelwoord (= hele werkwoord + ed of derde rijtje onregelmatige werkwoorden)

Passive II
Stappenplan:
  1. Zoek het lijdend (of meewerkend) voorwerp in de zin.
  2. Zet deze voorop in de nieuwe lijdende zin.
  3. Bepaal de tijd van het werkwoordelijk gezegde oude zin.
  4. Zet om naar de juiste tijd in de passive.
  5. Herschrijf de zin.

If-zinnen I
Voor feiten, waarschijnlijke en/of onwaarschijnlijke situaties.

Bestaat uit een hoofd- en een bijzin -> bijzin geeft voorwaarde aan en hoofdzin het gevolg.

If I am in a bad mood, I  always cry.            ->  volgorde maakt niet
I always cry if I am in a bad mood                     uit (let op: komma)

Gebruik PRESENT SIMPLE in zowel hoofd- als bijzin:
[If/When + Present Simple --> Present Simple]

Als je je voorstelt wat jij/iemand zou doen in een specifieke situatie in de toekomst.

Gebruik PRESENT SIMPLE in de if-sentence + FUTURE in de bijzin:
[If + Present Simple --> Future]
[Future --> If + Present Simple]

Ex. If you are nice to her, she will buy you a birthday-present.

If-zinnen: Onwaarschijnlijke situaties I
Als je je iets voorstelt of afvraagt wat nog geen werkelijkheid is.

Gebruik PAST SIMPLE in de if-sentence and WOULD + verb in de bijzin:
[If + Past Simple --> Would + Verb]
[Would + Verb --> If + Past Simple]

Ex. If we lived in Norway, my mother would miss us.

Zaken die absoluut niet gebeurd zijn in het verleden.

Gebruik PAST PERFECT in de if-sentence and WOULD HAVE + voltooid deelwoord in de bijzin:
[If + Past Perfect--> Would have + voltooid deelwoord]
[Would have + voltooid deelwoor--> If + Past Perfect]

Ex. If you had prepared properly, you would have passed the test.
