To give additional information about a thing, person or animal you can also use an adjective. The adjective comes in front of the person/ thing/ animal.

  • He watched a funny film.
  • They bought a lovely dress.
  • We had a good time.

Slide 27 - Slide

Grammar 5, page 149
Sometimes you put the adjective after the verb. Then you give additional information about the subject of the sentence.
Examples: to be / look / appear  / seem

  • She looks amazing in her dress.
  • I am curious to see that new film.
  • They seem focussed on their homework.
