When do you use the Past Simple?

Past Simple

Gebruik:

Iets dat in het verleden gebeurd en het is nu afgelopen

I ate cookies yesterday

Past Continuous

Gebruik:

Iets dat in het verleden aan de gang was

Het duurde een langere periode
