Bijv. Kampen is a city located somewhere in the Province of Overijssel.

Gebruik je in bevestigende zinnen. 
* There are some apples in the basket. (een aantal)
* My father had some ideas for our project (een aantal). 

'Some'  gebruik je ook in vragen waarvan je weet dat het antwoord 'ja' gaat zijn. 
Do you have some mouth masks for us?

*'any' gebruik je in negatieve zinnen (met 'not' er in) en in vragen waarvan je niet zeker weet of het antwoord 'ja' gaat zijn. Dit moet je vaak uit de zin opmaken.

- I don't know any Spanish words actually (geen enkele)
