Goal

After this lesson you are able to use prepositions correctly. We are getting ready for the writing test. 

Prepositions of time

on (dagen / data) 

at (tijdstippen + feestdagen & weekend)

in (dagdelen / jaren / maanden / seizoenen)

since (sinds) from ... to/until (van ... tot) 

within (binnen) before (voor)

Prepositions of movement

across (over) onto (boven op) up (omhoog) down (omlaag)

into (naar binnen) out of (naar buiten) past (langs)

around (omheen) towards (naar toe) through (door heen)

off (van af) under (onder) over (over) to (naar)

from (van weg) 

Prepositions of place: troublesome

Beside = next to, at the side of, by.

Example: Amanda sat beside the old man during dinner. 

Besides =  as well as, in addition to. 

Example: What else are you studying besides English?

In het Engels is de regel: 

under = er is direct iets onder het object
