Tips woordenboek

• Bekijk eerst of je de betekenis kunt raden door de andere woorden.


• Bekijk of het woord op een ander woord lijkt.
• Zoek het basiswoord. (slow ipv slowly, extend ipv extended)
• Let op :Er staan vaak meerdere betekenissen - hier komt straks meer uitleg over.
• Oefen met het woordenboek dat je op je examen gaat gebruiken.

Answers:

1. I'm breaking up with you, pack your bags! (pak je spullen in / ga weg)

2. Pack one bag for the trip. (pak één tas in)

3. We are hunting with a pack of hounds. (meute jachthonden)

4. The printer has packed up again. (is er weer mee opgehouden)

Controlevragen bij woordenboekgebruik

1. Zoek ik een werkwoord (OV WW of ONOV WW) / zelfstandig naamwoord (ZN) / bijvoegelijk naamwoord (BNW), enz.
2. Past de eerste betekenis het beste bij mijn zin, of moet ik verder lezen? Kijk ook naar de voorbeelden
3. Is er een combinatie van ww + voorzetsel? Die staan op alfabetische volgorde 

Zoek ze op en schrijf de vertaling op.

(to) rid                                =   je ergens van ontdoen/afkomen

include                              =   omvatten, betrekken

Let op! als er -ing achter staat, is het HELE ww zonder -ing  

->dus je zoekt op       admit= toegeven
