What about a negative sentence?

I do not like action films. 
He does not want to go to the cinema.
They are not affraid of the dentist.

A negative sentence -> not
A sentence is negative when you add 'not'
You have to place 'not' right after your main verb

Or you add: do not / does not 

The difference?

Om een negatieve zin te maken moet je 'not' in de zin zetten. 

Als je een hulp werkwoord hebt moet je daar 'not' achter zetten
(can, could, should, would, may, might, will, shall) bij het werkwoord 'to be' mag 'not' er ook direct achter. 

Bij andere werkwoorden zet je do not / does not vóór het WW
