Coupons and Rebates
Many manufacturers, stores, and service establishments offer customers discounts through coupons and rebates, or refunds. Each special discount is an incentive for customers to purchase a particular item because they will save money (paper coupon)
or get money back (rebate).

Stores often promote products at sale prices, which are lower than their regular selling prices. The markdown, or discount, is the amount of money that you save by purchasing a product at the sale price.
