Present Continuous

Wanneer gebruik je de present continuous?

Wordt gebruikt bij als:

• iets nu gebeurt of nu aan de gang is
• iets in de nabije toekomst gebeurt
• je je ergert aan iets dat regelmatig gebeurt;
  vaak staat hier het woord always bij
  
  
• Signaalwoorden: 
  at the moment, right now, at present, Look!

Hoe maak je de present continuous?

         Hulpwerkwoord zijn --> to be + ww+ing

    Hulpwerkwoord zijn --> to be + not + ww+ing

Past simple - wanneer?

• Als iets in het verleden heeft plaats gevonden en is afgerond, het is nu voorbij. 
• Vaak staat in de zin een tijdsbepaling die aangeeft dat het verleden tijd is bijv. last month, yesterday, a minute ago, in 1999.
  
  
• I bought a new bike last week.
• We visited my grandmother yesterday.

Past simple - hoe?

• De past simple (verleden tijd) wordt gevormd door:

ww + ed bij regelmatige werkwoorden, bijv.  I helped her.
OF
werkwoordsvorm uit het 2e rijtje bij onregelmatige werkwoorden, bijv. She was ill, last week.

present perfect: is in het verleden begonnen en is nu nog bezig, of geeft nu nog resultaten.
Is echt anders dan de voltooide tijd in het Nederlands.

Past Simple ontkennend en vragend maken:

Voorbeelden

• Ik ging niet mee op vakantie.  --> I didn't go on holiday.
• Hij kocht geen bloemen.  --> He didn't buy any flowers.

• Liepen jullie snel gisteren? --> Did you walk fast yesterday?
• Hield je oma erg van katten? --> Did your grandma like cats?
