Plurals

Standaardregel = woord + s

boy = boys dog = dogs

Bij woorden die eindigen op een medeklinker + y = y verdwijnt en wordt – ies

baby = babies butterfly = butterflies

Woorden die eindigen op ch, sh, s, ss, x, z = + es

bus = buses box= boxes watch = watches

Woorden die eindigen op medeklinker + o = +es

tomato = tomatoes

(Let op wel uitzonderingen: photos/pianos/casinos)

Woorden die eindigen op f of fe = f/fe verdwijnt en wordt -ves

loaf = loaves wife = wives
