 both mean 'a number', or 'a few'.

When do we use "Some"?

+ = positive

- = negative

When do we use "Some"?

+: I have some cheese for you.

?:  Can I have some water, please?

When do we use "Any"?

- Miss Koolwijk does not have any stickers.
?: Are there any people here?

Is there a difference between these questions?

1. Is there any water here?
2. Can I have some water, please?

1. you are hoping for the answer Yes with number 2
2. There is no difference question 2 is incorrect
3. I have no idea.
4. Question 1 not a general question.

Bonus time!

If you use any in a question: it is normally a general question.

If you use 'some' in a question, you are 100% certain that the answer is going to be a 'Yes'.

How do we make something plural in English?

example: Crisp is singular...
How do we say this? We eat as many ........ as we like. 

Plural (1)

You know how to make a noun plural by adding -s or -es.

Not all nouns have the same plural form. 

Nouns that end with a consonant + o get -es.

Example:
Hero --> Heroes

Echo --> Echoes

Plural (2)

Nouns that end with s, x, z or ch get -es.

bus – buses

box – boxes

match – matches

Nouns that end with an f or fe get -ves.

Knife -- Knives 

dwarf – dwarves

4) Nouns that end with -Y 

Party - Parties
Penny - Pennies

There are also irregular forms when you try to make it plural.
