13.4 Letter of application

GOALS

- you find out what the content of an application letter should be 

- you know the most common grammar/spelling pitfalls and practice these to prevent mistakes in your writing

Letter of application

also known as a cover letter 

• Spelling: gebruik geen samentrekkingen/afkortingen

• Grammatica: door sommige fouten kan je boodschap verkeerd of zelfs helemaal niet overkomen. Schrijf heldere zinnen en controleer je grammatica. (TIJD)

• Woordkeus: geen populaire taal of straattaal.

• Indeling: zorg voor een inleiding, kern en afsluiting.

 • Inleiding: hoe kom je aan de vacature, waarom je schrijft, 

wie ben je.

• Kern: waarom geïnteresseerd in het bedrijf? Laat zien dat je voldoende weet over het bedrijf. Jouw kwaliteiten en hoe die relevant zijn voor de baan en verwijs naar je cv.

• Slot: geef aan dat je graag op gesprek komt, via de telefoon of Teams. Zeg dat je uitziet naar een antwoord.

too = ook (aan het einde van een zin)

to = naar, om te, aan, te

two = twee

than = dan (in vergelijkingen)

then = toen, dan (geeft een tijd aan)
