This is not only about the lovely fairies.

,but also the creepier ones.

What Mythical creatures do you know?

Leprechauns

Irish children are told that at the end of every rainbow there is a leprechaun with a pot of gold. Leprechauns are very clever and fast. They've got red hair and a beard and they usually wear a green suit and hat and often a green apron. They live alone in the countryside and make shoes. If you are lucky enough to catch one, he has to grant you 3 wishes.

Sidhe are the most powerful of all fairies. They are related to people that ruled Ireland before people did.

They are very thin, tall and beautiful. They often look shadowy and can only be seen when a human is present. They live under the ground. They kidnap people they like.

What does shadowy mean?

Pookas roam the Irish countryside at night. A pooka is a shapeshifter.

Clurichauns are closely related to leprechauns. They look almost the same but they are evil. They have large silver buckles on their shoes. They never wear aprons. They beg, steal and love to go drinking.
