The future tense

Praten over de toekomst.

1.  Plannen in de toekomst.
2. Bij voorspellingen. (met & zonder bewijs)
3. Vragen bij I & we.

Going to

We gebruiken going to + het hele werkwoord als we iets afgesproken hebben in de toekomst.

I am going to go on holiday in May.

We gebruiken going to óók als we bewijs hebben voor een voorspelling.

It's going to rain. (look at the black clouds!)

Will

We gebruiken will + het hele werkwoord als we een voornemen hebben iets te doen.

We gebruiken will + het hele werkwoord ook als we een voorspelling doen zonder bewijs. Vaak met woorden als "I think"

I will try to be there tonight.

I think it will rain. (zonder bewijs)

Shall

Shall gebruiken we bij vragen over de toekomst bij I and we.

Denk bijvoorbeeld aan iemand uitvragen op een date.

Shall we go to the cinema?

Of als je beleefd wil zijn:

Shall I make dinner tonight?

Shall komt dan voor het onderwerp.
