Both sentences tell us something that will happen in the future.
They contain 2 different tenses:
1. present simple
2. present continuous

Slide 4 - Slide

The bus leaves at 9 pm.
Present simple (verb/verb+s): used to refer to events in the future which are certain because they are facts or there is a fixed schedule/timetable (shops, trains, school, etc).
Her birthday falls on a Friday next year. (fact)
School starts at 8,45. (timetable)
The shops open at 10 o'clock.

I'm flying to London tomorrow. (tickets)
Present continuous (am/is/are + verb+ ing): to talk abot plans (arrangments have been done)

I'm meeting Sally tonight. ( We have arranged to meet)
They are visiting the museum on Saturday.
