  • By the end of the lesson you're able to use both grammatical structures to formulate grammatical correct sentences.

Past simple:
  • Iets wat in het verleden is gebeurd, en waarvan het belangrijk is wanneer het is gebeurd.
  • Vaak ter herkennen aan de woorden: this morning, five minutes ago, etc.


We talked on the phone last night.
Present perfect:
  • Als je wilt zeggen dat iets is gebeurd en het niet belangrijk is wanneer.
  • Als je wilt zeggen dat iets in het verleden begonnen is en nog steeds doorgaat. In de zin staat dan vaak: since, for, in. (ever, never, always)

I've been here since ten O'clock.

  • Onregelmatige werkwoorden hebben hun eigen vorm. Deze moet je LEREN!
